- Only if it’s temporary. The cheapest isn’t always the answer, even when on a budget. For instance, if you buy ½ price paper towels but must use twice as many, or even more, to do the same job as the more expensive… then you really don’t save anything in the long term. I used to buy the cheapest dish washing liquid I could find. I got used to it, and it worked fine. One day, in a bind, I had to buy a small bottle of the more expensive brand name liquids. I was amazed at how much better it worked and how long that little bottle had lasted. I was hooked! Sometimes, the hardest thing for us to do is see the long-term advantage of a product or service.
