Are you looking for a winter clothing donation drive near me? Creative Carpet & Flooring is hosting our annual winter clothing donation drive this December in Mokena, IL, and Highland, IN. As temperatures dip into the 30s and winter settles in across our communities, thousands of families are facing the harsh reality of homelessness. We’re partnering with local organizations to help keep our neighbors warm.
The Need for Winter Clothing Donations is Real
The statistics are sobering:
- Illinois: An estimated 25,832 people are experiencing homelessness (20 people per 10,000 residents*)
- Indiana: An estimated 6,285 people are experiencing homelessness (9 people per 10,000 residents*)
Behind these numbers are real families, children, and individuals who need our support to make it through the winter season.

What We’re Collecting at Our Winter Donation Drive
We’re gathering essential winter items to help homeless families stay warm:
- Winter Coats – All sizes from infant to adult and extended sizes are desperately needed.
- Winter Accessories – Snow pants, hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, and boots to protect from the cold.
- Blankets & Sleeping Bags – Gently used or new blankets and sleeping bags can be lifesaving as temperatures continue to drop.
- Socks – These are the most needed and least donated items. Clean, warm socks make an enormous difference.
Please note: We can only accept donations that are new or gently used, clean, and without broken zippers, rips, or tears.
Our Gift to You for Your Donation
As a small token of appreciation for your generosity, everyone who stops by to donate will receive a $25 Creative Carpet & Flooring gift card. Give it as a gift or keep it for yourself to use anytime. Use it toward:
- New flooring or a pre-made or custom area rug
- Carpet cleaning after the winter season is over
- Cleaning products like our Karndean hard surface cleaner or our Spot Remover for Carpets & Upholstery
Drive runs December 1, 2025, through January 31, 2026 • Gift card offer runs December 1-31, 2025. One gift card per household.
