Sarah MacLeanEMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Meet Sarah MacLean, Accounts Payable Specialist

Q:  Why did you join Creative Carpet & Flooring?
A:  I wanted to work for a company with genuine Christian roots. In today’s world, it’s rare to find a workplace that openly stands on its faith, and that meant everything to me when I was searching for my next opportunity.
Q:  What do you like to do to unwind?
A:  A little bit of everything, and sometimes all at once! I love crafting, DIY home projects, watching TV and movies, and reading. And yes, I absolutely multitask. There’s a good chance I’m watching a show, crocheting something, and mentally planning my next home project simultaneously. It’s a lifestyle.
Q:  Describe your current role/occupation.
A:  My official title is Accounts Payable Specialist, but I like to call myself the Accounts Payable Master because, let’s be honest, that sounds way more impressive. Either way, I make sure every invoice, bill, and payment is handled with precision and care. The lights stay on because of me. You’re welcome.
Q:  What issue will you always speak your mind about?
A:  Foster care. It is something that is incredibly close to my heart and a cause I will never stop talking about. There are so many children in the foster care system who just need someone to show up for them, and not enough people realize how great the need truly is. These kids are not defined by their circumstances, and every single one of them deserves a safe home, a stable environment, and people in their corner who genuinely love and care for them. Whether it’s advocating for families who open their homes, supporting organizations that serve kids in the system, or simply helping raise awareness, I believe we all have a role to play. If I can use my voice to make even one person stop and think about how they can help, then I’m going to do it every time. These kids matter, and they deserve to know it.
Q:  If someone wanted to enter your field, what advice would you give them?
A:  Only do it if you genuinely like math, and I mean really like it, not just tolerate it. Numbers are your world in accounts payable, and if they stress you out, this might not be your happy place. But if you love the satisfaction of everything balancing perfectly? Welcome home.
Q:  Where is your hometown?
A:  Frankfort Square, Illinois! It’s a cozy little community in the south suburbs of Chicago where everyone pretty much knows everyone. Growing up there gave me that small-town feel without being too far from the excitement of the city. It’s the kind of place where you ride your bike around the neighborhood until the streetlights come on and you know your neighbors by name. I may have taken a detour to Georgia for eight years, but there’s no place like home, and Frankfort Square will always be mine.
Q:  What is your favorite flooring?
Marazzi's D_Segni Color in Clover

Marazzi’s D_Segni Color in Clover

A:  My absolute favorite is a blend of Marazzi’s D_Segni collection in Clover, Midnight, Chalk, and Indigo. The first time I saw this combination, I couldn’t stop staring at it. The way those tones play off each other is just stunning. The cooler hues of Midnight and Indigo balance so beautifully with the softer, earthy warmth of Clover and Chalk, creating this rich, layered look that feels both modern and timeless. It reminds me of a beautifully curated European space, the kind of floor that anchors a whole room and makes everything else around it look more intentional. I’m a little obsessed, if I’m being honest.
Q:  What is your favorite flooring in your house?
Karndean's Opus in Canitia

Karndean’s Opus in Canitia

A:  In my own home, I went with Karndean’s Opus in Canita, and I have zero regrets. The texture gives it a beautiful, realistic feel underfoot, the color is warm and versatile and pairs with practically everything, and the cleanup is effortless. As someone who loves DIY projects and crafting, trust me when I say easy cleanup is non-negotiable in my house. It’s the perfect combination of gorgeous and practical.

Sarah MacLean joined the Creative Carpet & Flooring family in January 2026 as an Accounts Payable Specialist, and she fit right in from day one. A Frankfort Square native with a big heart and an even bigger personality, Sarah is the kind of person who brings both laughter and dedication to everything she does. She was drawn to Creative Carpet & Flooring because of its Christian roots and family-oriented culture, and it didn’t take long for her to feel right at home. When she’s not keeping the lights on behind the scenes, you can find her crafting, tackling a DIY home project, rewatching Friends for the hundredth time, or hand-crocheting something impressive without a single hook. She’s passionate about foster care, fluent in pasta, and is counting down the days until she sets sail for Mexico and Belize. Faith is the foundation of everything for Sarah, and that shows up in both the way she works and the way she treats the people around her. She’s proof that the best coworkers are the ones who take their work seriously but never take themselves too seriously.
