Meet Cody Bouquet, OperationsĀ at Creative Carpet & Flooring in Mokena, Illinois
Q: Why did you join Creative Carpet & Flooring?
A: Because my family owns it, and when youāre born into it, itās part of the family adventure. Plus, itās better than being the one person at Thanksgiving who has no idea what everyoneās talking about!
Q: What silly accomplishment are you most proud of?
A: Iāve watched Game of Thrones nine times. At this point, I could probably write the next season… or at least tell you exactly whoās going to die and when.
Q: How would you sum up your work?
A: Iām in charge of commercial quoting, ordering, and scheduling, but mostly, Iām a professional firefighter. Iām constantly putting out little “emergencies” that pop up out of nowhere, like last-minute changes, miscommunications, or the occasional floor-related panic attack. Itās like juggling a bunch of flaming torches while trying to make everything look effortless.
Q: What is a fact about you that few people are aware of?
A: I donāt like desserts. While most people are hunting for the last cookie, Iām perfectly happy without it. Give me a savory snack any day!
Q: How have you grown professionally while working with us?
A: I started in the warehouse, and now, Iām not in the warehouse anymoreāprogress! Iāve learned a lot, mostly how to stay out of the warehouse and leave the heavy lifting to others.
Q: Where is your hometown?
A: Homer Glen, IL ā where the trees are tall, the creeks are calming, and the excitement isā¦ well, letās just say itās a great place to appreciate nature. Honestly, I canāt complain; trees and water are kind of my thing.

A: Anderson Tuftex ā Always Natural in Cork. It’s one of my favorite carpet patternsāsimple, stylish, and just earthy enough to make me feel like Iām living in a trendy forest. Plus, itās low-key but still impressive, kind of like me.
Cody Bouquet, the Operations Maestro at Creative Carpet & Flooring since June 2015, expertly coordinates job sites with a flair that could belong in a superhero film. One of his favorite company perks is the 401kābecause who doesnāt love securing their financial future? Outside of work, Cody enjoys tackling house chores, binge-watching “Game of Thrones,” and spending quality time with his girlfriend Ash and their four cats and one dog. His ideal vacation is a serene retreat in the woods, complete with a boat on the lake, where he can enjoy the tranquility of nature. If he ever won a million dollars, he’d prioritize paying off his mortgage. For now, heās ready to embrace each adventure, one job site at a time.
