LVF’s best characteristic is its resistance to water and its reparability. Water tends to be one of the main reasons floors are damaged. These characteristics make it the perfect choice for areas that might have a tougher life, such as basements, kitchens, laundry, etc. Sheet vinyl (replaced linoleum) has many of the same water toughness of LVF, but it falls short for reparability and may rip or curl.
If there were a perfect floor... it would be all we would sell. Each different floor has different characteristics that make them all good at something. If you need a tough floor for less money, LVF is the way to go.
